Coaching Philosophy

As a coach I aim to keep training as engaging as possible by using variety. I believe that each runner has their own goals, ranging from completing their event to participating at an elite level. Each runner has a level they are capable of achieving and it is my goal to help you achieve the best result you can. I view fitness as a house. Very fast running is the roof, and very slow running is the floor. I believe that in order to make running as attainable and comfortable as possible, we need to train everything from the roof to the floor. By doing this we become well-rounded runners, training our body in a complete way, and raising the floor as high to the roof as possible.

I believe running should be enjoyable and that we should be able to measure progress. I have a passion for helping others be successful and getting the most out of what they put in. I enjoy helping runners of all levels and abilities because of the success, grit, and passion they find in themselves.
