COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Are you making running fun and engaging? When it is, it is easier to stay consistent and improve.

Together we can explore your “WHY” in “why do you run”, develop safe race and distance goals and construct a training plan tailored to you and your schedule. All while adding in a little fun.

I enjoy coaching youth athletes! I have coached youth athletes for the last 8 years as an IESA Cross Country and Track and Field Coach and a USATF Summer Coach. I take pride in seeing the improvements these athletes achieve. I’ve had athletes come into a program not knowing if their capable of being a runner and leaving as a confident runner ready to tackle their running goals. I focus on keeping running fun and safe for youth runners, keeping parents involved in the process and building a training program to steadily reach their goals.

I enjoy coaching masters runners! I am one of you. I’m constantly in the process of staying active, being competitive and trying to stay injury free. This year as I enter the 50-year age group I can say I’m succeeding. I’d love to help you succeed as well! Whether you are just getting started, getting back into running, need a little help to stay on track or are looking to improve and crush a race or distance goal I am here to help.

I make myself available to all my athletes. Having trouble motivating for a workout? Shoot me a text and we’ll work it out. If your training plan isn’t working perfectly with your busy schedule, get in touch and we can adjust until it does. I want you to succeed and when you do, I’ll celebrate those achievements with you. I get as excited with my athlete’s successes as I do with my own.

Along with your RunDNA Training Plan I have developed a custom HR Training Zone, Yearly Run Log and Race Pace Strategies for Any Distance documents to track your progress and help motivate you. I share these with any of my interested athletes and use them for my training as well.
