Coach Sam Stimac

I’m Sam. A bit about me: I started running on a bribe from my parents when I was 13 and have loved it since! I was introduced to the trail and ultra world a few years ago after watching the Barkley Marathons Documentary and have been hooked on long races preferably on single track since. I have run races from 5k to 100 miles with the 100 mile distance being my favorite. I currently run for the Craftsbury Green Racing Project on the Trail Team and we are sponsored by Craftsbury Outdoor Center and Patagonia.

I am thoroughly intrigued about the human body's capabilities and through running I have surpassed my ideas of what I thought was possible for myself and I’d love to help you to do the same. I have been an athlete all of my life which led me to pursue a career in physical therapy. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on human performance and furthered my education by obtaining my Doctor of Physical Therapy. I currently work as a travel PT and love working with people to get back to activities they love or simply become more independent. In addition to my clinical work, I am a certified UESCA Ultrarunning Coach.

I want to work with runners pursuing goals passionately and with purpose. My goal is that training will be fun, challenging at times, and confidence building. I want to collaborate with athletes to provide a training plan best suited for them and their life while being effective and with flexibility when needed.
